This will be your free day and you will have the liberty to easily explore the city of Chefchaouen on your own. It is a small city in the North of Morocco and is particularly known for its climate. The city was founded in 1471 by Jewish and Moorish people. The city also has an Andalusian aesthetic because most of the houses here are whitewashed. This makes the city a perfect place to walk and explore.
After you have had your breakfast, we are going to make way towards Volubilis where you will explore the Roman ruins that date back to the second century. Then we will make our next stop at Meknes which is among the imperial cities of Morocco and was the capital of the country during the Seventeen century. We will then resume by driving through the Middle Atlas Mountains and visit the Ziz Valley as well which is surrounded by the most scenic views. After that, we will reach the Sahara desert and we will spend the night in Merzouga where you will enjoy dinner at night and breakfast in the morning.
The next morning we are going to take you for an excursion through the golden dunes of the Sahara desert where you can also see the black volcanic rocks and maybe meet a nomad family. You will have your lunch somewhere in Merzouga and from there we will go to Khamila which is a village where you can enjoy folk songs and original music. Then in the afternoon you will go back to your luxury desert camp on camels and spend the night there.
The next day, you will wake up early in the morning to witness the spectacular sunrise, this is certainly one of the highlights of the trip.
